 SJS Engineering – South Jersey Septic Engineering brings extensive, hands-on experience delivering engineered septic systems across a wide range of project types, site conditions, and regulatory environments. Our portfolio reflects work on residential, commercial, institutional, and environmentally regulated properties throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and the greater Philadelphia Metro area, including some of the region’s most challenging and highly scrutinized sites.

Our project experience includes new septic system installations, system replacements, capacity expansions, and remediation of failing or non-compliant systems. Many of these projects involved constrained lots, poor soil conditions, high groundwater tables, easements, wetlands buffers, Pinelands restrictions, and multi-agency review. In each case, our team applied rigorous engineering analysis, regulatory knowledge, and field experience to deliver systems that were approved, constructed, and placed into service with confidence.

SJS Engineering has successfully delivered standard, code-compliant residential septic systems as well as advanced treatment and non-standard designs required for higher flows, sensitive environments, or limited site footprints. Our experience spans conventional gravity systems, pressure-dosed systems, mound systems, drip dispersal, and advanced treatment units, tailored to meet specific site conditions and operational demands.

On commercial and institutional projects, our work has supported facilities with variable occupancy, peak flow conditions, and long-term operational requirements. These projects required careful hydraulic modeling, pretreatment considerations, redundancy planning, and coordination with local health departments, municipalities, NJDEP, PADEP, and the Pinelands Commission. Our ability to manage these complexities has allowed projects to move forward where conventional approaches were not viable.

A defining characteristic of our experience is full project delivery involvement.
